Charles Schultz famously said, “Happiness is a warm puppy.” I would add that the unconditional love of a dog is pure joy. We at Doodle Patch Farm believe that dogs make our lives better. Dogs make us better humans. With careful attention to genetics, we strive to produce healthy, well structured, happy dogs with great temperaments. We specialize in English Cream Golden Retrievers, Goldendoodles, and Aussiedoodles.
English Cream Golden Retrievers are only different from the American Golden Retriever in color. They have the same adoring, loyal, affectionate gentle temperament as an American Golden Retriever. They are the best family dogs and one of the most popular breeds in the world. Our English Creams have champion international bloodlines and are the lightest “creamiest” colors. The Golden Retriever is a dog for anyone and everyone. Because we strive to obtain the healthiest breeding stock and handle our puppies from the first week, and work to expose the puppies to frequent handling, noises and other stimuli, our puppies are suitable for service or therapy dogs.
Goldendoodles combine the loving personality of the Golden Retriever and the intelligence of the Standard Poodle. They tend to shed less and can be more hypoallergenic. They are active, fun loving, often silly dogs. They are one of the most popular mixed breeds in the country. They are loyal and love the constant company of their humans. Breeding F1 (first generation which is 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Poodle) and F1B (first generation bred back to a Poodle which is 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever), we can provide families with a dog that is very well socialized and well tolerated by allergy sufferers. For those wanting a smaller Goldendoodle, we also breed mini (smaller than 40 pounds) Goldendoodles. Goldendoodles that are socialized daily and exposed to touch, sound, surfaces, and various stimuli, also are appropriate and sometimes preferred as therapy dogs because of the fewer allergens and low shedding quality.
Aussiedoodles, often referred to as “The Einstein of Dogs,” combine the intelligence of the Standard Poodle and the activity, work ethic, loyalty and brilliance of the Australian Shepherd. They too can shed less and also tend to be tolerated by those with allergies. Aussiedoodles are active and love to play and can have a strong herding instinct. They love their human companions, and love to be challenged in training. There is little an Aussiedoodle cannot do. We provide standard and mini Aussiedoodles. The mini Aussiedoodles, like the standard, are also whip smart, easy to train, but in a smaller, colorful, fluffy package.
