Friends of Doodle Patch Farm – We’re Looking for Loving Guardian Homes!

A few hours ago, I delivered the last puppy of Emma and Ollie’s litter to a warm and welcoming couple in Tampa, Florida. Last weekend, we drove to West Virginia to meet a family from Raleigh, North Carolina. At the beginning of the summer, I flew to El Paso, Texas, and in March, drove to Pennsylvania to meet a new puppy parent from Maine. This past year, our journey has been filled with heartwarming connections as we extend our reach to families across more states.
We are deeply grateful for the growing demand for our puppies, intentionally bred for their health, structure, temperament, and good looks. Our waiting lists fill early, and every puppy finds a loving home. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how much our puppy families appreciate the thoughtful start we give our pups through a curriculum designed to nurture their nervous systems, build confidence, enhance problem-solving abilities, and foster emotional balance.
Now, as we look to grow our program, we want to ensure every parent dog continues to receive the love and care they so richly deserve. That’s where you come in!

Join Our Mission by Becoming a Guardian Home
We believe the best way to provide a nurturing environment for our breeding dogs is through guardian homes. As a guardian family, you’ll give one of our wonderful breeding dogs a loving home without any upfront cost. Your dog will live with you as a cherished member of your family while returning to Doodle Patch Farm for breeding and whelping (puppy delivery and then they stay with their puppies here at Doodle Patch Farm for up to 8 weeks before returning to their Guardian Home). Here’s how it works:
What We Cover: Doodle Patch Farm will handle all costs related to breeding, such as genetic testing, orthopedic x-rays, progesterone testing, and ultrasounds.
What You Cover: As the guardian family, you’ll take care of the typical costs of raising a dog, including vaccinations, routine health care, training, food, grooming, and accessories.
Retirement: Once your dog is retired from our breeding program, we’ll cover the cost of spaying or neutering, and full ownership will be transferred to you.
This is a special opportunity to enjoy the companionship of an extraordinary dog while contributing to our mission of raising healthy, beautiful, and affectionate puppies for families.
Meet Our Guardian Home Candidates
We currently have three incredible dogs ready for loving guardian homes:
Wren – A six-month-old female F1 Goldendoodle. She’s happy, affectionate, eager to please, and has started potty, crate, and obedience training.

Alfie – A one-year-old mini male F1b Goldendoodle. Alfie is quick as a bullet and loves playing fetch! He’s potty and crate trained and has begun obedience training.

Peal Jam – click here to learn more about Pearl
PearlPearl, as her name implies, is a “rock star” of a nurturer. From her youngest days, she cuddled with the grandchildren and kept a watchful eye. She is athletic and excels at Frisbee and Fetch. She is the perfect running partner. When she sees the running shoes on her humans’ feet, she is ready to heel at any pace. She excels at distances beyond a 5k! She has the classic English Creme stocky build and weighs 80 pounds.

Requirements for Guardian Homes at Doodle Patch Farm
To ensure the safety and happiness of these special dogs, guardian homes will meet the following criteria and more:
Fenced Yard: A secure, fenced yard is essential to keep your pup safe and prevent any unwanted visitors during specific times of the year (heat cycles).
Close proximity: To participate as a Guardian Home family, you must live within an easy drive of our farm.
Communication: You will need to be accessible and responsive to emails and text messages from us.
Careful Screening Process: You will need to fill out the Guardian Home application, talk with us, and meet with us at the farm to discuss everything and make sure this is a good fit for you and for us. This program is not for everyone.
Ready to Welcome a New Best Friend?
