Sweet, Savvy Hazel is now available

In an unforeseen turn of events, Hazel was returned to us. Life can be unpredictable, and our first goal is the welfare of our puppies. And so, Hazel is back at Doodle Patch Farm waiting for the right human to be her forever friend. I’ve been working with Hazel, evaluating her, and believe she might be one of the smartest puppies I’ve known. She craves human affirmation and responds immediately to her name. Her gaze reveals a remarkable intelligence. Tonight she “sat” with a single cue and had several successes being cued to “lie down.” With little coaching, she was walking at my side, unleashed and “checking in” with me every few steps. Potty training is not without its accidents, but she will continue to learn.
She is assertive and brave with her littermates, but seems to prefer connecting with humans. Aussiedoodles are known for their intelligence and Hazel confirms this. Because of her desire for human contact and stimulation, she needs a person who will understand that every interaction is a training opportunity. She will bond quickly with the right human. After a few short training sessions, she is following me everywhere. When I look down at her beautiful blue eyes and her piercing gaze with unflinching eye contact, she seems to be saying, “What will you teach me next? I’m ready for a challenge!” This girl can do so much! She is active, playful, cuddly, and clever. This is a pretty special pup!
