Mini F1b Aussiedoodles on the way!
April 3, 2024
We just got back from the vet with our sweet girl Emma! The ultrasound confirmed that she is indeed expecting! Eight puppies were seen (possibly 10). Healthy heartbeats were heard and seen! Mom is a red Merle Aussiedoodle (40 pounds). Dad is a miniature Parti poodle (16 pounds). Pups will be colorful, cute, intelligent and easy to train. Genetic testing also confirmed low to no shedding. Dad is fully OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for hips, elbows, patella and cardiac certified- including CAER (companion animal eye registry).
Emma is due May 5. Pups will be ready to go end of June, early July. The pick list has started! Please go to BRING ONE HOME to learn more.

Of course we are so very excited. Â And like expectant parents, are thinking of “baby” names. Â And so we begin searching and talking.
I have referred to Emma as our “Yoda.” Â She is calm, has manageable levels of energy, and a depth of focus that is apparent when she considers new situations. Â She gazes into our eyes and has an uncanny knack of “reading” our emotions. Â So, if these pups are born a day early on the 4th of May (May the Fourth be With You), they will have names to honor our youngest son Evan’s obsession with Star Wars.
If they are born on the 5th of May, “Cinco de Mayo” they will have names with a Spanish lineage. Â Ollie, the father, has been referred to as our “guru.” He too is very intelligent, holds your gaze and reads your mind. Â He is always well behaved. Â He makes us look like great dog trainers! Â He lives to please and serve the humans around him and rewards us with his quiet confidence. Â So names like “Bella” (beauty), “Luminosa” (light), “Clara” (clear and bright), will comprise our list.
Of course, we expect new puppy families to change the names, but because we are the first hearts and hands to hold these puppies, we like to infuse each name with some meaning. Â Perhaps the essence of that name lives on for the life of that puppy. Â When a new owner chooses another name for that puppy, the puppy will be doubly blessed to have two names with meaning. Â And we will hold in our hearts the name that puppy had with us and the name they have with their forever family.
Summer will be a busy and very exciting time at Doodle Patch Farm. Â We have two new mommies: Ivy (Mini Goldendoodle) and Raven (Standard Goldendoodle). Â While we are so excited to have our experienced moms produce litters we know will be beautiful, we are also very excited to see what our careful health testing and intentional pairings will produce.
